About Me – Private Tours in Lucca & Pisa

Welcome, my name is Antonella.
I am a licensed local guide based in Lucca(I obtained my qualification as a tour guide in 2008), where I live inside the historic Renaissance walls — not just as a professional, but as part of the city’s daily life.
For over 15 years, I have been designing and leading private tours in Lucca and Pisa, working with international travelers who are looking for more than a standard visit: they are looking for understanding, quality, and a meaningful experience.
I graduated in Foreign Languages and Literature at the University of Bari (and I am currently enrolled at the University of Pisa… longlife learning!). I have travelled extensively, working as a Tour Leader all over the world. About thirty years ago, I chose to live in Lucca, a city that is close to my heart and to which I am also tied by family origins.
My background combines academic training and real-world experience.
Today, I bring that experience into every Lucca walking tour and private tour in Pisa, adapting each visit to the people in front of me — not to a fixed script.
What I Offer: Tailored, High-Quality Experiences
My work is focused on creating custom private tours designed around each guest.
I specialize in:
- Lucca walking tours focused on history, art, and hidden places
- Private tours in Pisa, including Piazza dei Miracoli and beyond
- Countryside experiences, including villas, villages, and food traditions
- Family-friendly tours, adapted in pace and content
- Accessible tourism experiences, designed for different needs
Each itinerary is built to be:
- culturally meaningful
- flexible and well-paced
- adapted to the client’s interests and expectations
A Reliable Partner for Hotels and Travel Professionals

Over the years, I have collaborated with:
- boutique hotels
- luxury accommodations
- travel agencies
- private clients
What they value most is not only knowledge, but reliability and adaptability.
I work with guests who expect:
- personalized attention
- high-quality service
- clear communication
- a smooth, stress-free experience
For hotels, this means being able to recommend a guide who:
handles clients professionally and independently
enhances the guest experience
reflects the hotel’s standards
Accessibility and Inclusive Tourism
I also specialize in accessible tourism.
I hold qualifications as a Disability Manager and in Accessible Tourism, and I continuously update my training to ensure that my tours are inclusive, respectful, and well-designed for different needs.
This allows me to work confidently with:
- families
- senior travelers
- guests with specific accessibility requirements
How I Work
I am not a driver, but I can:
- accompany guests in their own vehicle
- organize private transport with trusted drivers
- coordinate logistics for more complex itineraries
I work in Italian, English, and Spanish, ensuring smooth communication with international clients.
Here you can book your private tour or contact me!
A Personal Approach
My goal is simple:
to transform a visit into a meaningful experience.
Whether it is a Lucca walking tour, a private tour in Pisa, or a customized day in the countryside, I focus on creating a connection between the visitor and the place.
Because what people remember is not only what they saw —
but what they understood.
The Disability Manager:
is an innovative professional role provided for in the White Paper on Welfare, whose task is to gather the requests of citizens with disabilities and their families, to activate the networking of all the bodies and individuals involved, to convey the needs of people with disabilities to existing services, to implement all measures aimed at promoting accessibility, urban planning and beyond, and to avoid all forms of discrimination.
